Richard Dean, our International Sales Manager, Europe and Middle East, represented MQP at ALUEXPO, 2017, Istanbul. This was the 5th International Aluminium Technology, Machinery and Products Trade Fair and took place between October 5 -7 at Istanbul Expo Centre.
There were 319 exhibitors, of which 162 came from Turkey and 157 from international companies. The international exhibitors represented over thirty different countries worldwide.
Industrial management, aluminium users and professionals from the aluminium industry, all over the world, visited the fair staged in three exhibition halls. The number of visitors, over three days, surpassed the total of 10,640 from 77 countries recorded at ALUEXPO 2015.
MQP’s distributor, based in Istanbul, AKM, operated a prominent exhibition stand and this featured key MQP casthouse products, Optifine, Refinal and Optifilter.
Whilst in Istanbul Richard took the opportunity to visit the newly built combined AKM office and warehouse facility.
This is located on land purchased in Tuzla, a province of Istanbul, on the Asian side of the city and on the coast of the Marmara sea. The location is ideal for ease of access to AKM’s industry customers.
Tuzla is known for its shipyards, seafood restaurants and the Formula One Istanbul racing circuit once dubbed “the best race track in the world” by Formula One Executive Bernie Ecclestone.
