The paper concludes
“There is great potential to help ensure casthouses can successfully cast high strength Zr containing 6000 and 7000 series alloys for automotive applications without risking the zirconium poisoning problem. As the research shows, this need can be met through the use of ultra high efficiency 5:1 grain refiner. MQP is continuing its joint research with BCAST, exploring ways to make grain refiners ever more efficient”
